Grants of up to $10,000 to Minnesota nonprofit organizations, schools, and government entities in eligible counties to benefit local youth. Grant funds may be used for operational support or for programs and projects. Funding is intended to support youth and to reduce crime perpetrated by youth and against youth. Grants must serve the residents of Stearns, Benton, and/or Sherburne Counties.
Favorable Considerations:
Priority will be placed on programs that impact crime reduction against youth and by youth
Make a sustainable positive impact on youth
Build social capital (i.e. connectedness) across generations, cultures, and other diverse segments of the community
Ineligible for Funding:
- Individuals
- Religious organizations for religious purposes
- Multi-year requests
- Political organizations or political campaigns
- Annual fundraising drives
- Endowments
- Debt retirement or deficit financing
- Projects that have already been completed
- Scholarships or medical research
- Grants for travel or conferences
- Government funding that has been reduced or eliminated
