Grants of up to $10,000 to USA nonprofit organizations that assist immigrants and specifically address immigrant related issues. Priority is given to organizations that create innovative solutions for victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and unaccompanied immigrant youth. The goal of the grant program is to support the well-being of low-income immigrants in the United States, to advance immigrant welfare, and to ultimately help immigrants become valued and productive members of society.

While the Foundation believes that every organization truly helping victims deserves funding, organizations not focused on immigrants are ineligible to apply.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The maximum grant award is $10,000.

Term of Contract:

Grants are made for two (2) years.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Organizations that do not focus on immigrants are ineligible to apply.

The Foundation provides grants to organizations throughout the United States that support creative ways for helping immigrants in the United States become productive and valued members of society.

Priority is given to applicants with incomes under $1 million.

No more than 15% of direct costs may be requested for indirect costs.

The Ray Solem Foundation will not consider grants to the following types of organizations or for the following purposes:
- Individuals;
- Operational deficits;
- Religious organizations for explicit religious activities, as distinguished from social or educational activities;
- Partisan activities;
- Fraternal organizations, labor, societies, or other;
- National fund-raising efforts;
- 501(c)(4) organizations or lobbying activities;
- Organizations whose overhead percentage is more than 20% of total expenses
- Brand-new projects that have not yet been piloted.
