Grants to USA nonprofit organizations that work to save homeless dogs and place them in loving homes. Funding is intended for operating expenses, program expenses, and certain capital expenses. The purpose of the grant program is to help improve the quality of care of dogs in shelter or rescue, and to increase adoption rates through programs and new initiatives.

Opportunity for USA journalists to participate in a fellowship related to mental health and the workplace. Successful applicants will attend a two-day training program designed to promote in-depth, nuanced, and accurate journalism addressing mental health concerns, treatments, and advances at work. Funding is intended to provide opportunities for local residents between the ages of 18 and 30 years to participate in an organized Israel program. The program must be at least two months in length, Masa Israel-recognized (or with an equivalent educational component included), and administered by a non-profit organization. This scholarship program is not needs-based and is available to Jewish young adults who are residents of the Minneapolis metropolitan area.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA and territories nonprofit cultural, academic, and research institutions, government agencies, and tribes to preserve significant audio and video media resources. Funding is intended to support the digital reformatting of media that is fragile, obsolete, time-based, and of scholarly value. Preservation services must be performed by qualified external service providers.

Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for a variety of programs that will improve rural behavioral health care.

Scholarship for USA library school students to attend a conference. The scholarship is intended for students currently attending a qualified information studies degree-granting program and for new professionals. The awardee will also receive a membership to a professional association. Funding will provide for conference registration, transportation, housing, and a stipend.

Grants to Minnesota elementary and secondary schools, institutions of higher education, and organizations to support agricultural education. Funding is intended to promote collaborative activities and projects with a focus on agriculture, food, and natural resource education programs at the primary, secondary, and postsecondary levels. Preference is given to applications that show community partnerships and other funding sources to assist in the completion of the project.

Grants to Minnesota nonprofit organizations and government agencies in eligible locations for health-related educational programs, equipment, and events. Funding is also intended for equipment or programs that benefit local youth with disabilities. Grants to USA middle schools for after-school athletics programming serving students in grades 6-8. Funding is intended for the acquisition of sports equipment, safety equipment, and uniforms. The goal of the funding source is to help as many programs and schools as possible.

Proposals that offer unique educational opportunities to students who may otherwise not have them are strongly encouraged. Eligible projects must serve students in ISD 742 schools.

Fellowships to USA and territories professionals in a range of disciplines to participate in a professional development and enrichment program in the fields of aging and healthcare. The fellowship program offers training in communications, professional networking, and current policy issues, providing fellows with the necessary skills and experience to change health and aging policy. The aim of the program is to ultimately improve the health care of older adults.

Grants to USA educators employed by schools and nonprofit organizations to enhance learning for PreK-12 students. Funding will support the development of extracurricular and in-class programming that improves learning and develops the abilities of children from low-income households.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA and Canada nonprofit organizations and businesses to start or expand eligible recycling programs. Funding is intended for residential curbside recycling programs, convenience site or drop-off recycling programs, and operations of recycling facilities. This program targets post-consumer foam polystyrene products, which include food service packaging materials and other types of packaging, such as egg cartons, meat trays, and protective packaging.

Awards to USA individuals and organizations to recognize outstanding efforts to improve the lives of blind people. Nominees will be considered for the positive impact they have had on the lives of blind individuals through programs, services, and individual work towards breaking down barriers and changing perceptions of blindness and blind people.

Award of $1,000 to a Minnesota individual to recognize significant contributions to the arts in eligible regions. The award is intended to promote the arts by publicly acknowledging an individual who has made an impact in the field. Eligible award nominees reside in one of the following areas: Big Stone, Chippewa, Cottonwood, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle, Lincoln, Lyon, McLeod, Meeker, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, Renville, Rock, Swift, and Yellow Medicine Counties, or the Pezihutazizi/Upper Sioux or Cansayapi/Lower Sioux Communities.

Grants of $1,500 to USA historians, writers, independent researchers, and graduate students for historical research projects related to Iowa or Iowa and the Midwest. Priority consideration will be given to proposals offering new approaches or interpretations of previously explored topics or treating neglected topics.

In-kind grant of sports equipment to a Minnesota nonprofit organization or school-based youth sports team in eligible regions. The grant recipient will receive softball and baseball equipment, including batting helmets, gloves, catcher's gear, bats, and balls appropriate for children aged 9-12. Grants of up to $3,000 to USA and territories professional dancers for support in facing financial challenges caused by unexpected circumstances. Eligible uses of funding include expenses related to food, housing, medical, transportation, and other essential needs. The program is open to applicants demonstrating an urgent and critical need for emergency support. Expenses can be already paid, can be owed, or can be coming up in the near future.

Grants and in-kind support to USA and Canada nonprofit organizations, agencies, and Tribal Nations for educational programs related to child car safety. The purpose of this program is to decrease the rate of car-related deaths and injuries. In addition to funding, participants will receive training, support, and access to online tools.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA young musicians for costs associated with studying classical music. Funding is intended to offset the financial costs of expenses including but not limited to instruments, camp tuition, private lessons, and audition travel. The grant is a need-based award.

Applicants are advised that the required registrations must be completed prior to applying. Funding is intended for rapid data analyses and short-term issue-specific telehealth research studies and for clinically informed and evidence-based research projects.

Awards to USA public or private schools under the direction of an LEA, Charter Management Organization (CMO), or the Bureau of Indian Education for establishing and implementing evidence-based health practices. Schools may apply in any or all of nine categories, including nutrition, physical education, staff well-being, and increasing family engagement. The school that meets the criteria for all nine topic areas receives a special award. Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for medical and veterinary initiatives. Funding is intended to support activities in the following focus areas: education, environment, animals, and health. Preference will be given to treatment of muscular dystrophy and to support scholarships for veterinary students.

Grants of up to $50,000 and grants of up to $60,000 to USA, Canada, and International researchers who are affiliated with nonprofit organizations, such as IHEs, school districts, and research facilities, for research projects in the field of education. Funding is intended to support field-initiated academic research studies spanning a range of disciplines and topics that explore improvements in education. Funded projects may pertain to any stage or level from early childhood to adult learning, and may focus on contexts outside of school.

Grants to USA doctoral students for research projects related to hearing science and audiology. Funding is intended to support studies that promote the advancement of the study of communication disorders and sciences and impact relevant clinical issues. Students may be enrolled in either a clinical or research academic program.

Grants of $2,000 to USA graduate students for research projects related to speech-language pathology and communication sciences. Funding is intended to support studies that address language development in preschool children and in children at the earliest school developmental level. Preference will be given to research addressing populations who are early verbal in their language production and use.

Cooperative agreements to USA and territories Tribes, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, IHEs, and for-profits for habitat conservation projects. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to finalize. The principal objective of this solicitation is to support transformational habitat restoration projects that restore marine, estuarine, coastal, or Great Lakes ecosystems, using approaches that enhance community and ecosystem resilience to climate hazards.

Grants of $60,000 to USA, Canada, and International artists to create and perform presentations depicting various elements of democracy. Eligible performances must be new works and may be multi-disciplinary or in the fields of opera, music, dance, and theater. The purpose of the program is to expand public understanding of democracy in American and worldwide.

Funding is intended for projects that create and test AI math tutors for K-12 students to make learning math easier and more personalized. In addition to funding, grantees will receive expert support including tailored technical assistance, product feedback, and evaluation support. Additionally, grantees will receive community support in the form of connection with peer organizations across the country.

Grants to Minnesota nonprofit organizations, businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies to provide job training related to the cannabis industry. Funding is intended to develop training programs, particularly for people disproportionately impacted by previous cannabis prohibition, to enter the newly legalized cannabis industry.

Grants of up to $10,000 to USA qualifying students and emerging and career professionals to promote innovative thinking in the field of architecture. Funding is intended to support the development of programs, technologies, and prototypes in the focus areas of architectural practice, process, and product. Eligible applicants are American Institute of Architects (AIA) members who have been licensed to practice architecture for fewer than 10 years, Assoc. AIA members, or members of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS).

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International individuals with professional leadership experience in energy and food systems to expand their knowledge and leadership capacity. This program is intended to provide networking opportunities and teach skills to elected officials, advocacy group leaders, topic experts, and others to address issues related to energy and food systems.

Fellowship to a USA, Canada, or International female professional journalist for social justice and human rights studies. The goal of the program is to provide an opportunity for research and internships with major print media outlets. The Fellow will have input in the design of their academic and internship schedules.
