Minnesota SPAN Association
SPAN(Student Project for Amity Among Nations) is a non-profit organization that is designed to provide unique study opportunities to carefully selected Minnesota college students. These students visit foreign countries during their advanced college years to investigate a topic of independent field research of their choice. Any Minnesota college student who demonstarates scholarship, self-reliance and maturity may apply for selection by SPAN. The selection committee will take into account the students interest and knowledge of world affairs and the soundness of his/her selection of country and topic of study. Students are granted scholarships to support research abroad.
