Grants of up to $5,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations for projects related to social justice and career development. Funding is intended for applicants working to promote youth literacy and education. The goal of the program is to enable young people from any background to connect to and learn about community-based social justice needs, and to gain access to resources and opportunities to promote career development.

Each youth board will determine how to distribute the funds to one or more nonprofit organizations.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nonprofit organizations in the United States and elsewhere are encouraged to submit proposals.

The Youth Board will award funding to one or more organizations doing work in the areas of education or literacy for youth.

Criteria:
- Must be a non-profit organization with a 501(c)3 status or international equivalent, able to accept funds in accordance with IRS rules.
- Should have an annual budget of less than $3 million. The Youth Board may consider proposals from larger organizations for distinct projects or divisions with smaller budgets.
- Religious congregations (synagogues, churches, Hillels, etc.) should not apply, unless for a project that is aligned with the board’s mission and distinct from any religious activities or programming.

Pre-Application Information:

Proposals are due by January 21, 2022 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

Organizations that make it to the final round will be contacted and asked to participate in an online “site visit” with a committee of Youth Board members on a weekday late afternoon/evening during the week of February 14 or 21, 2022.
