In Cass and Clay Counties, the FM Area Foundation has been engaging and funding initiatives that make a positive impact by helping find innovative solutions to local challenges.
Education creates opportunities, and with each new learning experience, individuals gain more tools to succeed personally and professionally. There are countless avenues for learning that lead to successful futures, and the Foundation believes bright futures begin with a strong educational foundation.
Basic Human Needs:
The Fargo-Moorhead area has experienced tremendous growth in the past decade, bringing about many new opportunities and businesses to the local region. However, many community members continue to face hardships like homelessness, finding quality, affordable childcare, treating mental health issues, or worrying about their next meal. Many local nonprofits are providing assistance and support to those in need. The Foundation’s goal is support them through the Basic Human Needs grant round.
Arts, Culture and Creativity:
Arts and culture can be admired all around the FM area. From the opera, to festivals, to public art, communities can enjoy the creations of talented local artists. Through diversity and creative placemaking, residents may experience a local, engaged community with a rich and vibrant culture. These programs and projects focused on arts, culture and creativity need ongoing financial support in order to thrive in the FM area.
