Grants of up to $15,000 to Minnesota nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and schools for initiatives that enhance the quality of life in eligible areas. Funding is intended for general operations and programming. Focus areas include community enhancement, economic development, and bridging the opportunity gap. The Foundation's geographic area includes Crow Wing and southern Cass Counties.
The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation (BLACF) supports specific community initiatives through a variety of grants. BLACF seeks to make smaller grants for general operations and programs to address changing community needs. BLACF also seeks to make significant grants that will bring about community-wide, lasting, and positive changes in the Brainerd Lakes area.
